As a Canadian manufacturer, we understand that our American customers may have specific questions about cross-border trade. Below are some helpful questions and answers that you might be curious about. We also encourage you to provide your thoughts and feedback.

1. Do you ship to the United States?

Yes, we ship to all 50 States, as well as all around the world.  We are honoured to work with amazing agritainment operations from Texas to Alaska, and from California to Maine.  For U.S. shipments, we work with trusted American-based carriers to ensure timely and secure delivery of our products. Freight fees and delivery timing will vary depending on the destination and the size of the order. Typically, orders take 2-7 days in transit, and delays have been quite rare.

2. Will there be additional duties, tariffs or fees on our shipment?

Since we are a Canadian manufacturer, all shipments to the U.S. are subject to customs procedures. Since 2015, we have shipped all our product through the border with no additional fees. We have maintained a US BOND (trade licence) for more than 10 years, and we ship under the commodity code related to “Festive Games & Entertainment Products”.  Our products are covered by the USMCA agreement, and the ‘place or origin’ is certified as ‘Canada’.  As of March 8th, 2025 there are no tariffs or duties on our products, but it is unclear if that will change in the future. If you are concerned about tariffs, we encourage you to reach out to your elected officials for more information.

3. Are your products compliant with U.S. regulations?

Yes, our products meet U.S. regulations and standards for safety and quality. We ensure all items are properly certified and tested to comply with American laws and industry-specific requirements. If you have any specific regulatory concerns, please feel free to reach out, and we will be happy to provide you with the relevant documentation. Many of the materials in our products are manufactured by American and Canadian firms, often in collaboration.

4. Have you considered moving some manufacturing into the United States?

Yes. For the past several years, as our American client list has grown and our exports to the U.S. market have increased, we have often evaluated the strategy of shifting a portion of our manufacturing to the U.S.

The challenge is that we are not a large manufacturer. We are a family-run, small-batch production studio. We are not moving from our home in Canada, but we are certainly open to any plan that offers the best service and products possible, to our friends in America.

To date, we have not been able to develop a “Made in USA” strategy that would in fact serve our market any better than we do now.  There would be too many compromises to our catalogue options, delivery timing, and quality control.  The flexibility of our current small-batch manufacturing has allowed us to develop an extensive catalogue and turn around orders quickly when circumstances require. In addition, our current manufacturing capacities benefit from low overhead expenses and flexible staffing. This means that we can keep the prices as low as possible, using the highest quality materials available.

For now, the best answer for our clients is to maintain our hands-on approach, with excellent quality and care.  We strongly support North-American Free Trade, as well as expanding the manufacturing capacities across this continent.

6. Would you consider partnering with a production and fulfillment team based in the United States?

Yes. We’d be open to a strategic partnership, and working with an American production and fulfillment facility. MacArt could consider working with a U.S. based manufacturing option, as long as we could continue to provide the same service levels, and product quality, as we can now. All manufacturing for Canadian orders would  continue to operate out of our Ontario-based production studio.
